Custom 40’ scissor-lift designed for operation in a high speed wind tunnel. The maximum allowable wind speed was determined for every 5’ of lift which was available to the operator during operation. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was used extensively to determine the drag coefficient, pressure distribution and general flow characteristics of the lift.
